Website Creation

Yesterday we started building our websites on the Wix.com platform. This platform is used to create websites. I think it is a very useful tool. There are tons of ways to edit your website. A lot of themes, fonts. We can place our photos and videos. We can buy our domain. It is a very professional platform.

I named my website the same as my blog "Myotherlook"

Yesterday we edited the home page, then the navigation buttons, then we had to write a short biography, I also added my photos to the page.

I changed my cover photo today.

I changed the contact page on my website. I added my own e-mail. I tested contact form. Everything works correctly.
Recently I added social media icons to my website. There is Instagram,Facebook and Twitter.

To add icons to social media we need press the plus button on the left side of the editor in the toolbar. There are a lot of tools. We select the icons in the section called social.

Today I added a welcome bar to my home page.

Today I added a test virtual book. I used flipbook pages for this.

Today I divided the galleries into two sections "My photos" and "My project".

You can see my website at: Myotherlook

  1. Good that you posted this. However, you need to talk more about the technical process of how you created the website. What buttons did you select to publish the site? How did you choose your template? Why did you choose this particular template?

Researching the following artists related to my main project

To do my project  "The Sad Story about Littering" , I decided to look for inspiration among interesting photographers who deal with artistic photography and typical street reportage. Due to the fact that I have to make a street story in the form of a photo book, the inspiration of the artists discussed below seems right. Henri Cartier-Bresson  He was a French photographer who was born in Chanteloup, France, on August 22, 1908, and died in CĂ©reste, France, on August 3, 2004. Henri Cartier-Bresson was a passionate street and reporter photographer. In a special and poetic way, he was able to capture the right moment in a photograph. His works are appreciated all over the world to this day. Movement is very important in his photographs. He photographed in black and white style . In my story, I would also like to use black and white photography as a form of communication. By capturing the right moment, I would like my photos to come to life and be more interesting for the...

Software testing - Adobe Lightroom

I am using Lightroom in conjunction with Photoshop. Adobe Lightroom is a program used to organize the work of a photographer. It is also a great editing tool. W can also prepare in this program photos to print. We can import, manage, organise, and find our  photographs with the aid of Lightroom. In contrast, Lightroom is a product that combines photo management and photo editing. For me the most important advantage of this program is that I can catalog my photos. Everything is orderly and clear. Below is a video with basic lightroom features. Below is my example of using lightroom. At the beginning, on the left side, I chose from the top bar: File - Import Photos and Videos. Then, as in the Youtube video, I chose the photos to be edited. I downloaded the pictures that interest me. Then I played with the sliders on the right side a bit. I got rid of the overexposure in the picture. I added some textures. I didn't have to do much with this picture because it was done correctly. I...

Website research

While making my website, I found 3 sites that I like. These pages inspire e to create my own.  The first is Gucci.com . This is the website of a luxury clothing manufacturer. I like the simple design of the website. The navigation bar is easy to read. There are a lot of sub-categories. I prefer fewer categories on my website. However, everything is understandable. Additionally, when the cursor enters the navigation bar, it changes its color to black, which makes it easier to read. New products are shown on the main page. There are links to an online store where you can buy clothes. The photos are, in my opinion, very professionally made. Photographs made in vintage style. The photos are not too big and are perfectly placed on the website. However, I do not see information about the company's history. Probably the creators did not provide this information because it is a company with an established position and reputation. The website uses a sans-serif f...
